We are impacted mightily by the cycles of the sun and the moon. These two heavenly bodies feed us and nourish us in many ways.
The sun keeps us alive through heat. That same heat allows the plants to grow and all food sources to evolve and be available and healthy. The solar rays carry codes of information for the cells that are best delivered on a daily basis. The sun journeys across the sky in a daily dance, slowly altering its vertical and horizontal position as the year moves on. The positioning regulates the impact upon us in a cooperative harmony with the seasons. Daily time in the sun is essential for our well being. (The controversy about the harmfulness of the sun is entirely debatable. Keeping us afraid of the sun prevents the codes from reaching the cells and leaves us out of balance with the frequency of the day. The excessive protection in the sunscreen is counterproductive, even containing known carcinogenic substances…) Suffice it to say that spending time in the sun before 10 Am and after 3 PM is completely safe.
The sun is considered a masculine, active energy. It is useful for gathering strength to take action. The right side of the body is the solar or masculine side, where one expresses and puts life into action. Blockages along that side interrupt one’s movement.
All life is energized by the sun. Allow it to do so…on a daily basis. Make connection with it throughout the day.
The lunar energy is feminine, receptive in nature, impacting the inner world more in it’s veils of mystery. The moon’s gravity impacts the tidal movement of water on the earth. It regulates the movement of emotion and water within us. Many elements of life align with the 28 day cycle of the moon’s rotation around the earth: a woman’s menstrual cycle, astrological flow, the growth of plants, the nocturnal habits of animals, times of fertility, rent payments, magazines, events, religious rituals, …on and on.
The moon’s cycles are clearly visible in both the day and the night sky. It is a constant influence upon our lives. When the moon is new it is a good time to make plans and set intentions as it is fertile energy that can nourish the idea. When the moon is full the time is ripe for release. Burying the past, letting go of thoughts and beliefs…examples of aligning with the lunar energy on a regular basis.
The sun, moon, and earth are in relationship. Their interaction and movement greatly influences the energetic life of the living beings on the planet. Pay attention, especially to your feelings, sensations and thoughts during the cycles of the sun and moon. They are great teachers and great providers. Constant companions on the great journey of incarnation…
