Once I Was

Once I was a little one who drew his power from the sun and water

Riding on my brother wind what I believed would manifest for me

Living on a rainbow dancing in the trees talking with the afternoon

Playing with the mountain sleeping in the earth

I was cousin to the silver moon     Once I was

Once I was an angel in my home across the sky filled with water

Wrapped in clothes of innocence the Light of Love was nourishment for me

Painting all the rainbows greening up the trees flying with the afternoon

Singing with the mountain cradling the Earth

My heart was the silver moon

Once I was

Once I was a man who lost his memory and knowledge of the water

Spent so many lives on a journey to recapture what was me

Wishing on the rainbows looking through the trees

Waiting for the afternoon

Climbing up the mountain walking o’er the earth

Till my heart found the silver moon

Once I was

Once I was a Child of Light whose heart and soul were purified by water

Free to be most anything the Universe gave everything to me

I was one with the mountain one with the trees

One with the afternoon

One with the mountain and my sweet Earth

I was one with the silver moon

Once I was...
