With Self:
- For awhile forget what you know about yourself, how you have defined and been defined, what you are capable of , and what you are not. Become the observer and with the Taoist eye of noticing, see just what you notice about yourself. What do you do? Say? How do you respond to your moments? What do you like? Do you take action when needed? How are you with others? What do you see when you look at yourself? Simply be the observer and get an unbiased perspective of you…
- Now take what you know of your history and make some big lists about what you are and what you are not. What do you like and what do you not? What are your successes and what are your challenges? How do you see yourself? How do others see you? What are your wounds? What are your perpetrations upon others? How do you view your life? How are you with others? Be honest and transparent and exhaustive in your lists. You are beginning to clear the cesspool.
- Make a list of your faults as you see them. Determine how you support and encourage and enable them. Just how accurate re these perceptions?
- Now make a list of who you desire to be. Be accurate and descriptive and exhaustive. After the compilation, look at each and see where you are with it. Are you close? Can you make it unfold? If so, how? Decide to take some action and see what happens.
- Examine your level of self care? Do you cover the bases or slide? Are you healthy? Are you burdened and pressured? What is the level of your stress? How important are you and your needs to you/ Where do you stand in the hierarchy of caring for others, first or last or somewhere in between?
- What are you willing to do to make your life align with your desires? Start small and build momentum. Brainstorm some action.
With others:
- How have your relationships been with others? Make a list of all the ones of impact. Reflect on them. What were the learnings, the experiences, the beauty, the losses? Why did they end?Was it clean? What is the status now? When you think of them what do you feel? Is there baggage and energetic debris?
- Consider having a handful of quality relationships in your life, true allies that serve one another mutually. List them and reflect on what you provide for one another. Do you cultivate them enough/ What can you do differently to insure that the other knows their value?
- Take the list of the relationships of the past and create scenarios of clean and expressive endings with them. Speak what has not been spoken. Tell them in a chair dialogue how you feel about the relationship? Be grateful and let them know how you appreciated them. Wish them well…say goodbye…and walk away
- What do you desire/expect from your primary relationships? Is this realistic? If not, make some adjustments. See how you can show up for yourself more and take the pressure off them. What is your take on Soul Mates? Is there the one for you somewhere? What does that mean to you.
- Reflect on family and notice what comes up. The debris of the unexpressed past can be impactful on many levels. Are there unsaid words? Are there unexpressed feelings? Are you willing to speak them out? If so, set up a Gestalt chair dialogue where you imagine them present and share all that you have to say in the way that is honoring of the feelings behind the words. Do this until you feel complete…with each of the significant players.
With Body and Inner Child
- Reflect on the current state of your physical self. Are you healthy? What are your ailments? Where do you stuff and store? Be specific. Draw a picture of you and indicate where your issues are held.
- With each of these locations spend time to find out what is there? The issues, the unspoken, the wounds, the emotion. Move towards creating a way to release the leftover EJ (Emotional Junk)
- How do you care for your body? What are your shortcomings? What do you do well? What is important to you here? What beliefs do you hold and subscribe to that focus on the limits and weaknesses of the body? What medical model do you choose to resonate with? Think about options and choose to take action on being more higher frequency about your relationship with the physical.
- How are you with emotion and the movement of emotional energy? Do you know where your body holds each of the basic emotions? Can you communicate with these places and get some information and understanding about them? Are you willing to feel? If so, how much?
- What if your feelings were the language of your inner child? What is she saying? How has he been treated by you? What can you do differently to help him feel witnessed and loved? Are you able and willing to be fully present for that little one in you?
With Nature:
- What is your current relationship with nature? Is it different than the one you had as a child/ How so? Why?
- Make a list of places you enjoy in the natural world around your home? Around your community? Around a 10 mile radius in your community? Around a hundred mile radius? In your State? In the section of the country you live in? In the United States? In other countries? Start visiting some of them and be open to the experience and the messages that will come.
- List 10 animals that you have relationship with (like them, resonate with them, see them a lot, have always loved them) Recognize that they have messages for you to support your moments of living.
