Selecting and Creating a Power Spot Exercise
1. Ground, center, and establish your boundaries.
2. Take a walk outside and notice how you feel in different areas. You may already have a favorite spot or be drawn to a particular location for its natural beauty, rock ledges, or arrangement of trees. Circular copses of pine trees are particularly special. You will know when you've found the right place by how you feel. In your power spot you may notice feeling connected, opened, inspired, and full.
3. Ask permission to enter and, if you feel invited, stand or sit in the center of the space. If you did not receive permission, give thanks and, with respect, move to another location.
4. If there is a particular feature, such as a boulder or tree that is the focus of the location, stand or sit there. Activate the Spiral Pillar of Light pattern and bring the cone of power down, into, through, and around the entire area, creating a sacred circle of peace, safety, and healing.
5. If you want to, incorporate sacred geometry into the creation of your power spot. a. Place the circle inside the triangle. The circle and the triangle are transformative shapes in sacred geometry and can he used separately or together to magnify connection and spiritual continuity. A powerful portal can be created using Joe Crane's geometry of the Gate of Grace. Feel free to use any geometry to which you're drawn. b. Using your intuition, place markers around the perimeter of the geometric shape you're using. You can use crystals, stones, poles, or even mounds of dirt to mark the space. c. Place large markers in the four directions (or some astronomical cal alignment such as the points where the sun rises on the solstices) and smaller markers in measured increments along the border, or you can simply place markers at spots that draw your attention. d. Use your inner sense of what feels right to guide you. If it doesn't feel right, change the arrangement until it does.
6. Use the clearing practices in Chapter 13 to cleanse the area of any psychic imprints.
7. Invite the Nature Spirits of the location along with your spiritual guides to be present. Spend several minutes transmitting love. Draw the ley lines toward your site.
8. Declare your space a sanctuary that transmits peace.
9. Use this place for any spiritual work: to meditate, vision, manifest, heal, and so forth. It's your sacred space; use it however you feel.
10. When entering and leaving, it's a good idea to seal the boundaries by activating the Spiral Pillar of Light. When re-entering, check the markers and determine if any need to be shifted. Earth energy changes with the seasons, sky, and so on; your energy markers will shift as well.
11. Ground, center, and establish your boundaries as you leave. It's not always possible to be outside in nature, yet you can still connect with nature and create a power spot. Chapter 13 provides suggestions for creating a sanctuary inside your house. You can also create a sanctuary/ power spot inside yourself.
